Arya is such a unique spot that it feels like you've stumbled into a hidden corner of a museum -- except this museum serves butter tea and has free WiFi. The decor is absolutely stunning, filled with cultural touches that make the entire space feel immersive and welcoming. It's spacious too, which makes it perfect for working or just hanging out. I'm so glad we decided to check this place out! * Butter Tea ($3.15) This was my first time trying butter tea, and wow, it was delicious. Served piping hot, it had a rich, slightly salty taste, like sipping on warm, salted butter in the best way possible. If you've never tried butter tea before, this is the place to do it. 5/5 * Banana Lassi ($4.80) The presentation was adorable -- the little umbrella on top was such a cute touch! While the lassi was refreshing, it leaned a bit watery for my taste. Still, it was enjoyable. 4/5 The prices here are more than fair for what you're getting, and the man at the front was super helpful, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a cozy space to relax or a unique spot to get work done (hello, free WiFi), I highly, highly recommend visiting Arya Cafe. 5 stars!!

Came here today for lunch with my husband and daughter this afternoon and we had the French toast and dumplings. In the excitement of ordering (because everything looked delicious), We thought we had ordered egg ramen soup, but we didn't. The manager was kind enough to let us try it, which was super sweet of her. Everything was DELICIOUS. The decor of the restaurant is also perfect. It makes you feel like you are in Tibet and even sells clothing, jewelry and rugs for those wanting to take little Tibet home with them. This place is a hidden gem and if you're ever in the area, you must try! We look forward to returning.

This place is absolutely hidden gem! I came in on a Wednesday afternoon to get some work done. I ordered an Iced Fruit Tea ($5) and Aloo with Bread ($9). The place is pretty small, so they make your order and bring it to you. The Fruit Tea was refreshing and sweet! It's passion fruit based, so there were seeds at the bottom in addition to strawberry bits and lychee jelly, which were fun to eat. The Aloo with Bread was delicious. I loved the softness of the bread and the spiciness of the potatoes. It was a great midwork pick me up! All throughout the time I was there, it seemed the place was quite lively but never overcrowded. It was pretty easy to find a free table to sit down at, or even to switch seating areas. The outlets were hard to locate but I asked one of the workers and they were very kind in pointing me to an available one, so I moved tables without issue. The wifi was also very fast and reliable. From the outside, it's hard to tell what an amazing cafe lies on the inside but after one visit, it's probably one of my favorite cafes for studying and working from home!

I had no idea this place was here until I passed by this inconspicuous place and saw someone go inside. There are no signs or awnings outside. There is a large sign on the doors itself, but nothing else that would give away that there's a cafe inside. Anyways, if you go around, you do see windows that you can peer inside, but that's it. I was quite confused as to what I saw when I went inside as it's set up as a cafe with people working at tables and there's a small menu. However, there's also clothes and wares that they're selling as well. Is this a store or a cafe?? Since the menu didn't have a lot of items on it, I was able to choose right away. My friend and I ordered the beef momos and the beef noodle soup. I wanted to try a piece of dessert or cake, but the meal was filling. If you want a casual place where you can work or gather to chat, this is the place for you.

Stellar experience! Was walking around after a doctors appointment and wanted to do some work. I stumbled upon this place which was so unexpected but a lovely surprise nonetheless! I ordered an iced green tea with honey and wasn't expecting much but it was served in a cute glass with a cute bendy straw and was so tasty and perfectly sweetened. I also ordered the beef noodle soup which was Ok. The meat was really delicious and flavorful but I wish there was more because the broth itself wasn't very flavorful at all. I had to add a ton of the two sauces they gave, which then made it a lot tastier but also spicier so I wouldn't recommend if you don't like spicy or a bland broth. The interior is really nice with different styles of seating (couch, high top, low tops), tons of snacks, a wide array of gifts and wi-fi! Highly recommend if in the neighborhood.

Whatta delight, a little gem among not muchness. It's a chill vibe, local peeps, lovely decor and clothes to thumb through, teas, smoothies, coffee, and suppppper yummy momos!! I'm so glad I found this place. Great to chit chat, lean back, and just be. Amdo was super simple and delicious. The service is really attentive, and informative.

March 2023: Lovely Tibetan cafe in Elmhurst. Getting here was a bit of a trek as it is located on the local Queens line. However, for locals this must be a godsend as there aren't many coffeeshops/workable cafes in this nook of Queens. Upon entering, the cafe was filled with sharable table seating. A lot of groups were here on laptops and conversations. Tibetan run shop with a traditional Tibetan store in back. The ambience is homey and spacious and quite loud in my opinion. Drink and food wise, reasonably priced. I only tried their Tibetan food (mainly my reason for visiting) like their butter tea and amdo, a Tibetan bread. I really enjoyed it as the tea was hot and foamy (not as creamy as others I've had) and the bread was fluffy and good for nibbling on while working. There's not a lot of outlets so make sure to bring an extension wire for the limited outlets on the walls. Table service when dining in. The staff was accommodating and offered a bunch of butter for the amdo. Overall, a nice option in the area or if you want Tibetan food. Accepts cash, card and Applepay. Bathroom available. Wifi, laptop friendly, and outlets available. Bon appetit!
